Melting Pot vs Forever Fondue

Forever Fondue in La Jolla is usually were we go for our Wedding Anniversary each year, we have made it a tradition. We really enjoy the place, great food and atmosphere! After having dinner at the Melting Pot last night I thought we would like one more than the other. Well, it's a tough one, we can't really say we enjoy one over the other. They are both really good :) I think the Melting Pot might be a little more expensive, but we are also thinking you may get alittle more food. We may have to make the Melting Pot a birthday tradition and keep Forever Fondue an Anniversary tradition since we enjoy both so much! Last nights dinner was so yummy and so enjoyable. Thanks again mom and dad for the gift certificate :)

Birthday dinner with the hubby :)

What a GREAT day today was. Got to sleep in a little, the whole family did :) Went to the park at the Bay with JR and Tavo. We played and had a picnic lunch. Came home and relaxed. Monica came over to watch JR so Tavo and I could enjoy a nice dinner out. I had a nice surprise from the hubby, he had planned for me to have a massage from Monica before we went to the restaurant. The massage felt WONDERFUL! Thanks so much Monica, you truly are amazing and a wonderful friend. We love you! We ate at the melting pot in UTC/La Jolla, we had a gift certificate from mom and dad at Christmas time. Thanks mom and dad for paying for my birthday dinner :)

She's growing up fast!

Our little princess is getting so big and FAST! These last three weeks, she has gone thru a lot of changes. Potty training, slept in her big girl bed last night for the 1st time and got her toes painted for the 1st time yesterday! We have been looking for a twin bed, but haven't found one yet and with her being potty trained she needed to be in a big girl bed, so we converted her crib for now until we need it for her baby brother. She did really well last night. Only fall out of bed once and was sound asleep on the floor when we went up to check on her.

Yesterday afternoon she asked me, "momma can you toes for paint". She has noticed some of her friends with toes painted and it was so cute when she asked for hers. We went to the store just to pick out her own polish and she enjoyed that :)

JR you will always be our baby girl! We love you and are so proud of you!

This weekend Tavo decided he had enough of his long hair and wanted to get it cut. We knew it was long enough to donate, so that is just what he did. Results of short hair again :)

She's mastering it ;)

This is a chart we have been using to motivate JR to go in the potty! This is a picture from last Tuesday the 19th. Since JR turned two she has shown signs of wanting to use the potty, but only went pee and poo in it once then wanted nothing more to do with it. We backed off and let her come around. Of course this is really hard when your daughter knows very well she needs to pee or poo before it is happening. Chayo is on vacation and JR spent some time with her auntie Shelly and her cousins last week. On Monday the 18th, JR decided to start using the potty at Auntie's. I had planned to work with her during the 3 weeks that Chayo was going to be on vacation and I was going to be off work for 2 weeks. It all worked out perfect, she was READY! I think it really took going over to Auntie's first to get it all started, but whatever works, right.

We are so proud of her! We are on week two and she is doing so well. No diapers when we go out. She is doing so well wearing big girl undies and telling us when she needs to go. Only wearing diapers at nap and night time. I think night time is going to take some work, she wets a lot at night. She uses the public restroom so well when we go out. I think she actually waits until we get to a place to tell me she has to pee. I wish she would just go at home ofcourse, public restrooms are not my favorite. She will not poop in the potty yet, which I'm not sure what to do about that. She waits till nap time or night time when she has a diaper on to do that. One step at a time, right.

WAY TO GO JAYCEE!

Circus Fun!

On Saturday we went to Barnum & Bailey Circus. What a blast! It was both, mine and JRs 1st time! We are so proud of JR, she did so well for the whole 2 hrs and 15mins. She was in totally amazement :) Those of you that know JR well, know that she doesn't sit still for long :) Here are some pictures from our fun morning :)

Having a GREAT time!

When we first arrived.......JR in total amazement. Not sure what to think.
