Sunday we went to a play for an early birthday celebration. Good friends of ours, Maria, Jake, Monica, Chris, Kike, Christy and Vanessa joined us. It was an awesome show. We had a fabulous time. It was the first time Tavo and I had ever been to a play. We really enjoyed it. Wish we had closer seats, next time we know to buy tickets right away and not to wait. Thanks Sani and Antwan for watching Jaycee and making it possible for us to go to the play. Monica thanks for the idea, I can't speak for everyone but I believe we all had a wonderful time!

After the play we all went out to dinner. Maria and Jake picked up Estella. Tavo and I picked up Jaycee and everyone joined us for dinner. Jaycee and Estella both did really well at dinner. We had a wonderful dinner at the Red Fox Room. Thanks again everyone for joining me for my early birthday celebration. I love you all! I took lots of pictures but they really didn't turn out that great. I usually give the camera to Tavo, he is much better at taking pictures. Don't know what I was thinking.

Happy 8 months Princess

This is going to be a short post since it's late and I really need to get to bed. Lots going on with my sister moving here this weekend. So exciting! I'm loving having my sister and her family here.

Can't believe another month as already gone by and Jaycee is 8 months now. Wow! She is crawling all over the place and getting into everything. Always chasing after her!

We love you princess, you are getting so big! Thanks for being such a good girl. Happy 8 months!

A day at the Beach

Jaycee loves the beach! Who doesn't love the beach?!?!? She really enjoyed putting her feet in the sand, we took her last weekend just to do so. We went really late in the afternoon so it was too cold to get in the water. We all did put our feet in ofcourse and Jaycee enjoyed that also. Check out her smiles below......

Teething

Currently Jaycee is getting 4 new teeth all in a row on the top. YES, I said 4! WOW! She has been such a good girl. She is drooling a lot more and biting everything. She reaches and grabs for your hand just so she can bit down on it. Yesterday after she woke up from her nap we noticed she had used her crib as a teether. (My good friend Maria warned me this could happen). Thinking of Maria I had bought some crib rail protectors but they didn't work with Jaycee's crib. We are now on a search to find something so we don't have anymore little teeth marks on the crib.

I'm BACK!

It's been really busy around here in the Perez household. We had a nice visit from the Carr family. They all arrived late Thursday night (July 23rd) and left Wednesday evening (July 29th). Tavo and I really enjoyed every minute of the trip; we got to spend a lot of time with the kiddos. We watched the kids while my sis and bro-in-law searched for a new home. Even though it was stressful from them trying to find a new home with 4 kiddos and a dog, the trip was a success. They found a new home here in Sunny San Diego. They will start renting a house as soon as August 15th and the best part is they are only going to be about 10 - 15 minutes away. We are all so excited! Plus all the cousins get to grow up together and we won't be missing birthday's anymore. YEAH! My sis and Shane will be able to go out on date nights now and we can watch the kids. Plus if my sis ever needs anything I'm just a few minutes away. Such wonderful news, I just had to share with all. Check out some pictures below from our fun week.......

Pool time and good news!

We took Jaycee to the pool for the 1st time this weekend, she loved it! It was a really hot day and the pool felt great. The pool had a section with a little shade so we hung out in that area, which was good for Jaycee and felt good. Jaycee loved the water.

The whole weekend was really hot, it would have been nice to spend the whole time in the pool. Of course the heat is nothing like AZ where my sister and her family are right now. I think on Friday my sister told me it was 111. Soon my sister and her family will be back in SD. We got word last week that Shane is going to be transferred with his work. We are so excited; it gives the cousins a chance to grow up together and gives my sister and I a chance to hang out. September can't come soon enough.

This weekend the Carr family is coming for a visit. Shelly and Shane will be hunting for a new home in SD! And Tavo and I get to hang out with the kiddos; we are really looking forward to the time! It's been a really long time, Tavo hasn't seen everyone since January and it's been February for me. Way too long!

7 Months

Wow......another month as gone by and our little princess is now 7 months old. Can't hardly believe it.

Jaycee has started eating more solid foods besides the rice cereal. Actually she doesn't even really eat cereal too much anymore just the veggies and fruits. She has had squash, green beans, peas, carrots, bananas, apple sauce and sweet potatoes so far. She likes it all and is a really good eater. I can't seem to get the peas and green beans blended while in the blender so we have to buy the jar baby food and she likes that much better.

She is now:

sitting up on her own

crawling on her knees (no more army crawling)

gives besos (kisses)

pulls herself up on her own

she plays Peek-a-boo and it's really cute!

she is just starting to figure out how to wave

Padres!

Last weekend we took Jaycee to her first baseball game. Jaycee did really well, she lasted almost the whole game. During the 8th inning she was done, she needed sleep and it was too loud at our seats for her to sleep. I had to walk around with her and let her sleep in her stroller. I watched the rest of the game on a screen, but that's okay. Go PADS, they beat LA! Daddy and Tio were SAD that their team lost. HAHAHA!

Happy Birthday Ariana Luz

Today our little niece Ariana turns the big 1. Can't believe she is already 1. I know I'll be saying that about Jaycee here pretty soon also. Boy how they grow so fast. Happy Birthday Ariana. Mucho Besos from Tio, Tia and prima Jaycee. We can't wait to celebrate your big day this weekend along with your baptism. Te amo mucho princesa!
