Big girl in her Crib!

Our little princess is now sleeping on her own. She has been sleeping in her crib going on 8 or 9 nights now. Tavo and I can't remember which night it was she started sleeping the whole night without waking up and coming in our bed. She is usually asleep by 7pm and wakes up around 10pm or 10:30pm. I nurse her and she lays back down in her crib. She then wakes up again around 2am, nurses and goes back to sleep. Sometimes she will wake up around 5am, which is really rough when my alarm goes off at about 5:45am during the week. But most of the time she will sleep till 6 or 6:30am. I'll then get up and change her diaper and nurse her. If we are lucky she will even go back to sleep till 7:30 or 8am. We are so proud of her. I do miss having our little princess co-sleeping with us, but I think it's better all around. We all are sleeping better, even though I have to get up 2 or 3 times a night. We love you princess, you are such a good girl! Below is a picture of Jaycee's crib and pictures of her sleeping like a big girl!

Grandma and Grandpa pics

I was a really bad mommy and totally forgot to take pictures while my parents were visiting last weekend. Lucky for me, grandma took some pictures and I thought I would share with you all. Enjoy!
Jaycee has found her ear and likes to play with it! Grandma caught the moment on camera!

Tooth #2

TODAY we discovered............another tooth! She now has 2 bottom teeth next to each other. This may explain why she likes to bite while nursing.........NOT FUN for MOMMY! Hopefully she will stop that really soon. Overall Jaycee has been really good and not too fussy. This weekend while Grandma and Grandpa (my parents) were visiting she was a little fussy, but not too bad. Jaycee had a nice visit with Grandma and Grandpa. We went to the Tierrasanta parade and craft fair and dinner on Saturday. Sunday we got up and went to our 9am softball game. Grandpa and Grandma came along so they could watch Jaycee and I could play. After the game we went to breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa. After breakfast they had to say goodbye and drive back home. It was a short and busy visit, but a nice one. We totally forgot to take pictures; I know how lame is that, but it just slipped our minds. I feel bad and am sad we didn't get pictures, but it just means they will have to come back soon and visit.

LAST NIGHT Jaycee slept really well, I'm hoping she does the same again tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed. When I put her to sleep, I have been starting her off in her crib (she has gotten too big for the bassinet) and she usually ends up with us during the night or by the time I go to bed she is ready to lay with us. But last night she went to bed at 7:30pm and slept till 12:30am and I got up, rocked and nursed her back to sleep, then laid her back in her crib and she slept till 6am. Wish every night could be like that. Even though, I did miss her in our bed last night. I kept waking up.

Jaycee loving her teething toy, it must help make her gums feel better!

Happy 5 months my Princess!

Tomorrow Friday, May 15th Jaycee will be five months old. It's hard to believe it's been 5 months already.

Jaycee is such a joy and I love being her mother! Being a mother has been such an indescribable blessing, and I couldn’t be more thankful. She is truly a gift, and it’s been a fun adventure raising her. Oh how she has changed our lives these last few months!

Happy 5 months my baby girl! Daddy and I love you mucho!

Mother's Day part two

We went to an early dinner with Belita, Belito and tio Kike this afternoon. Here are some cute pictures I thought I would share. Happy Mother's Day again!

Happy Mother's Day!

Just wanted to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all! My mom, my sister, my mother-in-law, my sister-in-law, all my good friends and other mother's I know out there. I love you guys, hope you have a wonderful day!

Today is my first Mother Day and it's been a nice relaxing morning so far. Tavo let me sleep in til almost 8am which was really nice. When you have kids you don't get to sleep much past 6:30am anymore, atleast we don't. Tavo went to play softball at 9am and Jaycee and I have just been hanging out.

I had a really nice surprise this morning. Two really nice cards that made me cry and a beautiful necklace from Tavo and Jaycee.

Surprise!

Last night we discovered Jaycee has a tooth in the bottom front. At 7 days before she is 5 months she has a tooth that has broken through the gum line. Crazy. I guess this explains why she isn't sleeping very well. Especially last night, getting up at 3:30am. I have a conference to attend today all day and that's going to be fun! I'll probably be standing most of the time to keep from falling asleep :-)

Thumbs up RAIDERS!

SAD thing; I know, Daddy and tio Kike have made Jaycee a Raiders fan. The draft was last weekend and Daddy is already ready for football season to start. He has a while to wait. Daddy and tio Kike are trying hard to make Jaycee a Dodger fan also, but that is not happening, she is a PADRES fan for sure. Even though the Padres season hasn't started off well, we will continue to cheer for them. Auntie Shelly (my sister) got Jaycee the below Raider jacket a long time ago knowing Tavo would appreciate it. Boy does he ever!
Daddy and Jaycee December 21st, 2008. Jaycee only 6 days old cheering for the Raiders on a Sunday afternoon. Raiders won this game, daddy says Jaycee was good luck.

Saturday stroll at La Jolla Cove

Today we went to lunch with some family and friends in La Jolla. After lunch we went for a stroll on the beach. It was a little windy, but still a beautiful day out. Jaycee really enjoys being out in the stroller checking out all the people.

Our happy little girl before leaving the house.

Jaycee chillin at the beach.

We pulled a tourist move asking someone to take a family pic of us by the beach.

Stay at home Daddy updates

Things have been going really well. Jaycee is doing great! She is taking great naps, sometimes even hour and a half naps. The bottle has been a huge success.........today she drank 9 ounces. Can't believe how well she is doing. She has been drinking on average about 5 to 6 a day, which is wonderful, compared to what she was doing before. But today 9 ounces.........WOW! Great job Daddy!

Jaycee and Daddy have been having lots of fun! Enjoying the days, today they took a walk around our neighborhood and played on the grass outside. The last couple days have been really hot and it was cooler outside than inside today.

Keep up the great work Jaycee and Daddy too! I love you both mucho!

Today Jaycee drinking her bottle like a big girl. Daddy says she holds the bottle all by herself when he lets go. Too cute.

Smiles after having a full belly and Daddy telling her "BRAVO".

Happy 4 Months

I wanted to post yesterday, but it was a busy day once I got home from work and wasn't up for staying up late. Plus Jaycee was ready for me to come to bed or she wasn't going to sleep until I did.

Our little princess turned 4 months yesterday. Boy can't believe how time flys. She is getting so big and changing a lot. She is still wearing her 0-3 month clothes. She does fit into some of her 3-6 but most is still big on her. I'm sure she will be out of her 0-3 months before we know it. She has started to grab for things, it's really cute to see her try and play with her toys now. I even have a picture below of her grabbing her toes. Too cute! She hasn't started rolling over yet, but I'm sure that will be soon. Not really looking for her to grow up too fast. She is still my little baby.

Happy 4 months princess. Mommy and Daddy love you mucho!

All tired out after a nice walk with mommy.

Stay at home DAD!

Tavo has been out of work since last Thursday. Friday was Good Friday so the whole company had off, but Monday and today they didn't have work for him. We were hoping he would be going to a new job site tomorrow, but no he got 'Laid Off' instead. It's something we had been planning for just in case. He had been with the company for almost 5 years. Tavo stayed home with Jaycee on Monday while I worked and would have again today. But I had already made plans to watch Estella today so we both didn't work. Tomorrow I start work full time again and Tavo becomes a "Stay at Home Daddy". At least Jaycee gets to spend time with at least one of us all day long. I feel very blessed I still have a job and have the opportunity to go back full time.

My sis the baker

Last weekend Tavo and I missed our niece and nephew's birthday party in AZ:-( Conor turned 6 March 23rd and Aidan turns 5 April 9th. They both wanted to have their birthday party together. The awesome mother my sister is, she made them both a cake and below are pictures. She really does a great job. They don't only look great, they taste really good too. I know I wasn't there to taste this time, but have been in the past and my sister can BAKE. Another reason I wish we lived closer to one another, that way she could bake a cake for Jaycee:-)

Conor's cake "swampie".

Up close of "swampie" with claws and nostrils.

Aidan's Lady Bug Cake.

Another picture of Davis's 2nd birthday cake.

Another picture I found of Conor's 5th birthday cake. I know I have more but can't find them. But I'm sure you get the idea of how good she is.
