Another birthday girl......

Zerah Jane Carr is turning a year old. Last September 25th she came into the world weighing 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. My sister had a home birth and Shane was able to deliver her. What a wonderful experience for them both. Unfortunately I missed the birth, wanting so bad to be there. Being pregnant at the time myself with Jaycee I had to stay home and work as much as I could knowing I would be taking off many months soon. This Saturday we will be celebrating Zerah's 1st birthday. My parents will arrive tomorrow to help celebrate. Happy 1st birthday little Miss Zerah. We love you and are so happy you are in SD now close to auntie, uncle and cousin Jaycee!

Zerah only 9 days old.

What a sweetie!
Big smiles with Sissy's hat. Too cute!

Happy Birthday Estella!

Today (September 24th) Estella Louise Reifer is turning 3 years old! Wow, where did the time go! It's been such a joy watching Estella grow these last couple years. Estella is one of my best girlfriend's daughter. Soon Estella is going to be a big sister. Maria and Jake are having another baby the beginning of December. So exciting! Happy Birthday Miss Estella. We love you!

Check me out.........

I forgot to include in my post last night that Jaycee has been standing on her own lately. She even stood and clapped a couple weeks ago. When she stands it's only for a couple seconds and I can never get a picture. Last weekend while at my sister's I got lucky. I was actually trying to get a picture of Zerah and Jaycee on this little bike together and Zerah took off and when she did it left Jaycee standing. Too cute! Can you tell she is really trying to balance?

9 Months

Today Jaycee is 9 months. Wow, another month has gone by and before we know it she will be a year old. She continues to grow and learn more everyday. She walks all around with her lion walker; before we know it she will be walking solo just like both of her cousins. She talks all the time now and I think loves to hear herself. Of course it's all.....Blah...Blah...Blah....Da Da Da...Da...Ma..Ma..Ma or Num Nums. Num Nums are cheerios, she really likes those. As soon as she sees the box she is saying num nums. It's too cute! She laughs a lot more now and smiles all the time. She is a fast crawler and into everything. She drinks her milk really well with Daddy while Mommy's at work. Even though we have introduced other foods to her for awhile now, she still struggles with eating sometimes. The last couple days she has been doing really well. Last night she ate two big bowls of vegetables and chicken. She still doesn't take anything chopped up, she wants it blended. The only chunks she will eat are cheerios. We continue to try new things all the time. Jaycee continues to grow and learn new things everyday. It's so exciting to watch her grow and learn. We are so in love with her and she is definitely our pride and joy!
What a cutie!
Loving her new car........I had to buy her one after riding in prima Ariana's. I was able to find it in good shape on craigslist..........gotta love craigslist. I found her lion walker on craigslist also.

Walking around the casa with my lion friend.

"If your happy and you know it, clap your hands."

Jaycee says, "I didn't do it".

Yummy cheerios.

Open wide for yummy carrots.

Bombay

Today I had an early dinner out with the ladies (us mommies). We went to BOMBAY exotic cuisine of India. In other words really GREAT Indian food! This restaurant has been a favorite for many years. My friend Heather introduced it to me many years ago and I have shared with many of my other friends including Tavo. It was really nice to get out for a few hours and relax. When we got to the restaurant we found out it had moved to a new located, which was only across the street. We asked how long it had been since they moved and the waiter responded, "about 2 years now". Wow, we were all shocked it had been so long since we had been there (being a FAV or ours). Well it was Megan's first time. Boy do we need to get out more. It really shows you how time can go by so fast. The new set up in the restaurant is so BEAUTIFUL! Good times with you ladies (Maria, Sani and Megan). Thanks for the night out! Oh and thanks daddies for babysitting. We took a couple pictures, the girls tease me because I'm like a tourist (I want pictures all the time for everything), but I just want memories :-)

Visiting Belita's Casa

Last weekend we visited Belita, Belito (he wasn't feeling good and we didn't get any pictures with him, we are praying for him to start feeling better soon. And we hope the doctors can figure out why he keeps getting sick), Tia Diana, Tio Sal and prima Ariana. Even though they live so close, sometimes we go weeks without seeing them :-( Everyone gets caught up in their everyday life and time gets away from you. It was nice to get together again. We will try not to go weeks without seeing everyone next time. Te Amo mucho! We missed you Tio Kike (thanks for keeping your sickness away from us though).

Happy Birthday Grandma and Horse Races

Today is Grandma's birthday. Happy Birthday Grandma. We miss you and hope you have a wonderful birthday! Sending lots of hugs and kisses your way!

Saturday we had a nice family day out at the del mar horse races. It was a beautiful sunny day! The races come to San Diego once a year and we usually go atleast once during the time they are here. Last year I was prego with Jaycee and we watched the Marley concert after the races. Each time we go it's always so crowded, but not this year. Atleast on the day we went. It was so nice! Jaycee was even able to get on the grass and crawl around. Jaycee had a good time watching all the horses. Silly us left home without the camera. We never forget the camera when we go places with Jaycee, don't know what we were thinking or not thinking I guess. We got a couple picture on my cell phone, not the greatest, but better than nothing.

I hope everyone is enjoying the nice Labor Day weekend. We have been enjoying ours!

Walking with the Lion.....

Jaycee is so cute right now (well really all the time)! Anyway I bought her this lion walker, which I found on craigslist. It was barely even used and the woman gave me a great deal on it. She loves it and walks all around the house with it. See videos below. Sorry for the sideways video, I can't figure out how to turn it around. Turn up the volume and listen to her talking while walking. Love her!

PS: I posted a couple days ago about Jaycee having a fever. She is doing much better now. She had the low grade fever for 3 days then she started to get a rash (all over her body). We took her to the doctor's yesterday and found out she had the Roseola Virus. Her first time being sick, no fun! She actually did really well while having the virus, just a little clingy and slept a lot. Glad we found out what it was and she should be feeling herself in a couple days. BTW.....Jaycee weighs 16.4 pounds now. Boy is she getting big!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL......

With football season right around the corner, I thought these pictures of Jaycee were appropriate to share..........

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Hi all

Just wanted to say hello and let everyone know we are alive and well. Things have just been really busy around the Perez household, but nothing that interesting to blog about.

Jaycee has been running a low grade fever the last two days. It got up to 101.3 but the tylenol is helping keep it under control. She went to bed tonight with no fever (of course she had tylenol about 3 hours before going to bed). We are keeping our fingers crossed that it stays away. So far she is sleeping better tonight than the last two days. She slept with us last night, our room is cooler than her's. It's been really hot here the last couple days. Our poor princess fighting the fever plus being really hot. Not fun!

Wicked

Sunday we went to a play for an early birthday celebration. Good friends of ours, Maria, Jake, Monica, Chris, Kike, Christy and Vanessa joined us. It was an awesome show. We had a fabulous time. It was the first time Tavo and I had ever been to a play. We really enjoyed it. Wish we had closer seats, next time we know to buy tickets right away and not to wait. Thanks Sani and Antwan for watching Jaycee and making it possible for us to go to the play. Monica thanks for the idea, I can't speak for everyone but I believe we all had a wonderful time!

After the play we all went out to dinner. Maria and Jake picked up Estella. Tavo and I picked up Jaycee and everyone joined us for dinner. Jaycee and Estella both did really well at dinner. We had a wonderful dinner at the Red Fox Room. Thanks again everyone for joining me for my early birthday celebration. I love you all! I took lots of pictures but they really didn't turn out that great. I usually give the camera to Tavo, he is much better at taking pictures. Don't know what I was thinking.
