Happy New Year!

Happy 2010! I wish everyone a prosperous new year! We are hoping the new year lands Tavo a new job. Even though the quality time Tavo has had with Jaycee the last 8 months has been wonderful and neither of us want it to come to an end. We love that at least one of us is home with her while the other one has to work. 2009 was good to us and we feel very blessed and are happy we have each other in our lives and a beautiful baby girl!

I never have been a person to make new years resolutions and not going to start now. Plus I already feel like I've gotten a wonderful start off to a new year with the weight I have lost. After having Jaycee I became pretty heavy, actually before having Jaycee I was heavy. Tavo and I decided about 3 months ago we needed to turn our life around not only for ourselves but for Jaycee too and we started eating much healthier. Since then I'm 24 pounds lighter and feeling great! Tavo has even lost 20 pounds too and we both are feeling really good. I've said bye bye to my size 10 jeans and bought a size 6. And now those size 6 jeans are even too big :-)

Cheers to the New Year!

Shamu kitty

This is Shamu one of our cats and we just found out he is diabetic. Now we have one cat with hyperthyroidism and one who has diabetes. Let the vet bills roll in! Don't get me wrong, I love both of my cats very much but the cost to take care of them when they are sick is huge! I'm praying right now that we can control the diabetes soon without running a lot of blood tests like we had to with Gwen. The insulin alone is costly and even the special food he needs to be on is costly. Please pray that Shamu gets well soon. The vet says it's possible that he could get better and I wouldn't have to give him insulin shots everyday. But I don't see that happening, I have a feeling I'll be giving insulin shots for the rest of Shamu's life. Poor Shamu.
